The short version

We collect only what we need to make your video and run the service. We do not set tracking cookies, we use no third-party analytics, and we do not train AI models on your site or your video.

Who is responsible

What we collect

  • Your order. The website link you submit, the format you choose, and your acceptance of the terms.
  • The submitted site. Our AI agent visits the public pages of your site and captures text, images and screenshots to make the video. If those pages show personal data, such as names or photos, it may be processed too.
  • Your results. The video, poster image and share copy we generate.
  • Order records. The order state, timestamps, an error code if something failed, payment status, the website link you submitted, the list of files we made for you, and what the order cost us to make.
  • Technical data. A hashed form of your IP address (we do not store the raw address), request logs used to prevent abuse and fix problems, and, when a video fails to render, a diagnostic log of that run with secrets removed. The log can include text from the submitted site and its link.
  • In your browser. After you place an order, your browser keeps your recent order links (up to three, with the site name) in its local storage so you can find them again. They never leave your device except when you open one. See “Cookies and analytics” for how to clear them.
  • Payment information. For paid orders, Creem takes your payment details. We receive confirmation of the payment and order, not your card number. We give Creem your order link as the address to send you back to after payment, so it appears in Creem’s records and may stay in your browser history.
  • Support messages. Anything you send to {{OWNER_SUPPORT_EMAIL}}.

Why we use it

We use this data to make and deliver your video, to process payments and refunds, to keep the service secure and within capacity, and to answer your messages. We do not sell your data.

Who processes it

  • Creem handles payments as Merchant of Record.
  • Anthropic provides the AI model that reads captured site content. Under its commercial terms, Anthropic does not train on API data.
  • Cloudflare provides website hosting, our API connection and the file storage where videos are kept.
  • {{OWNER_HOSTING_PROVIDER}} hosts the server that renders videos.

These providers may process data in countries other than yours.

No training on your data

Showi does not train AI models on your site or your video, and does not use them in marketing without your written consent.

How long we keep it

  • The video, poster and share copy are deleted 14 days after delivery. This follows the RETENTION_DAYS setting. A download or view link made shortly before the deadline can keep working for up to 6 hours after it.
  • The order record is kept so we can handle support and accounting. It includes the state, timestamps, error code, payment status, the website link you submitted, the list of files made, and the cost.
  • Database backups are kept for up to 17 days. A backup taken before the 14-day deletion can still contain the share copy until the backup expires.
  • Diagnostic logs of failed renders (secrets removed) are kept for up to 30 days.
  • The hashed IP address is cleared after 30 days.
  • Creem keeps payment and tax records for as long as the law requires.

Your order link is private. Anyone holding it can view and download your video until it is deleted. We store only a hash of the link. Your browser keeps your recent order links in local storage for up to 14 days, and the order page has a “Forget this order on this device” button that removes one. Clearing this site’s data in your browser settings removes all of them.

Cookies and analytics

Showi sets no cookies and uses no third-party analytics. The only thing it keeps in your browser is the local storage list of recent order links described above. Our fonts are hosted on our own site. The Creem checkout, for paid orders, sets its own cookies under its own policy.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to some processing, and to complain to a data protection authority. To use these rights, email {{OWNER_SUPPORT_EMAIL}} with your order link so we can find your order. We reply within a reasonable time and, where required, within the legal deadline.

Children

Showi is not meant for people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest change.
